Shh! It’s Autumn’s Birthday This Month – And Readers Get Presents!

Happy September!

I happen to love Fall the best of all the seasons–so much so, I named a character after it.  I tend to move in cycles with the creative process, and I’m sure other writers have their own rhythm.  For me, this season tends to engage my Muse like no other time of year.

Or maybe I write better with hot chocolate.  Who knows?

September is pretty special, because it brings the birthday of Autumn Brody, the haunted (in more ways than one) protagonist of Change Of Season and Waiting For A Star To Fall.  I know you’re not supposed to play favourites with your children, but let’s get real, writers:  we have favourites.  We have our darlings (whom we sometimes kill).  Autumn is one of mine.

Before I move on to my next project (a standalone work with no ghosts!), I wanted to say thank you to those who’ve embraced the series, or simply support indie authors.  It may be Autumn’s birthday, but since she’s not big on attention, she insists you get the gifts.

Autumn turns 20 on September 21st!  Let’s Party!

  • Starting September 27th (Goodreads won’t let us party sooner), I’m launching new giveaways on Goodreads for signed copies of Change Of Season and Waiting For A Star To Fall!  Bonus: entering the giveaway for one book means winning both!  Follow me on Goodreads and get ready to win.
  • On September 21st, both books will be free on Kindle!  If you haven’t met Autumn yet, it’s the perfect chance without breaking the bank.
  • Also on September 21st, you’ll want to head over to Wattpad, where I’ll be debuting the first two chapters of the series prequel, Pretty In Scarlet.  Told from the perspective of Nikki Lang, Scarlet stands alone, but serves to add new insights into the mystery at the heart of Change Of Season.  It also features several fun nods to Autumn’s world.

I am thrilled to share this new story from the Brodyverse with the world, before (temporarily) stepping away from these characters to dig into my new project.  I hope you love Nikki as much as I do.

Remember:
Follow me on Goodreads so you don’t miss the giveaways
Pick up your ebooks on Amazon, if you haven’t already done so
Meet Nikki over at Wattpad, where she’ll be sharing her version of the truth

As for the new project, details are coming soon! I’ll be starting it in November, as part of NaNoWriMo.

Giveaways, Guest Blogs and My Next Project…

The year is flying by and there’s so much to update about!

Goodreads Giveaways

The winners are in for the Goodreads Giveaways for Change Of Season and Waiting For A Star To Fall!  I’ve received confirmation that they are making their way to their new homes in GB and the US respectively.

Missed out this time?  That’s okay!  I tend to feel pretty generous.  In fact, if you have yet to check out Change Of Season, it’s FREE tomorrow (July 28th) on Kindle.

As for paperback giveaways, I’m cooking up something special to celebrate Autumn’s birthday in September.  Stay tuned!

Guest Blog

Speaking of July 28, watch for my guest post over on Cindy’s amazing site, Book About.   Ever wonder about that X-Files fanfiction that’s mentioned in passing in the bio?  Wondering if I believe in ghosts?  I dig into the creative process and the role of the paranormal in shaping my writing world.

My Next Project Is Underway!

Back in June, I mentioned my next project would be a Wattpad exclusive.  A prequel to the Autumn Brody series, Pretty In Scarlet traces the final days of Nikki Lang’s life — and the Casteel curse.  It can be read before or after the series (I recommend after Change Of Season to avoid modest spoilers) and offers new insights into Autumn’s experiences in room 308.

Look for it in September of 2015!

Buy Change Of Season and Waiting For A Star To Fall now (or read for free with Kindle Unlimited)

Waiting For A Star To Fall Is Now Available – And Free!

(for the day, anyway)

Today is the day:  Waiting For A Star To Fall, the sequel to Change Of Season, is now available on Kindle and Createspace!

(For those who dig paperback and Amazon together like PB&J, Amazon is processing the paperback edition for their catalogue.  It should arrive this week.)

What began as a sudden flurry of writing last November is now a shiny reality, filled with romance, music and murder.  Oh, and ghosts.  You know me.

To thank those of you who follow closely, Star is free on Kindle for release day.  Help yourself and enjoy!  All I ask is you review and rate when done on Goodreads and Amazon.  That’s worth more to an author than cash dollars.

(My cats would like you to know that if you prefer to pay in cash, they will gladly spend it on tuna.)

Speaking of paperback, the Goodreads giveaway for Star is ongoing!  I might even autograph it for you.  Enter here.

And now, with as much dignity as any indie author ever mustered, go forth and read!  The book is set in July, so you might as well savour it with the proper sticky weather.
