Guest Post: I Want To Believe

Back when the incredible Cindy at Book About first offered to share her space with me, one of the questions she posed was about the joking reference in my bio to a novel-length X-Files fanfiction.  She wondered if it, like the show’s truth, was “out there”.

Alas, it is not.  All I have are the first chapters scribbled on notebook paper and a 5 1/2 inch floppy disk with the lost Wordperfect document.  Don’t worry; it wasn’t that good.  Okay, maybe the combination of Mulder, Scully and Cairo was pretty fun, but it was pure whimsy and personal amusement.

It did get me thinking about my tendency to write about the unexplained:  destiny, coincidence as fate, and ghosts.  It seems the roots of the Autumn Brody series go back to my very beginnings.

Over at Book About, you can read all about my family’s peculiar history, my odd taste in books and my youthful career ambitions, and how they shape the worlds I create.  If I’ve piqued your curiosity, Change Of Season is free today only on Kindle.

I Want To Believe. Do You?
