Hello, lovelies! Happy February!
It is indeed a happy one: hardly any snow, school’s enjoyable, and oh yes, my Muse is in full force. Pages are flying out of my fingers and eagerly wait to be proofed, tweaked and ultimately shared with the world. The prospect of truly finishing this project and letting others read it at will fills me with a sense of joy and a strange freedom. I know I could do queries, get an agent, and ultimately, I believe I’d triumph and land a modest deal somewhere. But that takes time and a lot of work that would delay release for at least another year, and while good things come to those who strive for them, I also believe that art is meant to be shared as freely as possible.
Also of note: I am not trying to make my living solely on writing. I want to – nay, need to write – and I would very much appreciate compensation for the hours upon hours of work involved. But I’m fine with simpler channels and allowing it to be what it may.
It feels right to simply set this one free and let it breathe.
Speaking of setting it free, I have news! Mark March 3rd down as an important day to traipse over here, my friends. Why, you ask? I shall innocently note that Autumn Brody would like to meet all of you, and thus, I am offering up the first chapter of Change of Season for you to read here!
